Romania Goalkeeper Costel Pantilmon is the fourth signing of the summer by the UEFA Champions League debutants Manchester City FC.
He has joined FC Timisoara for an undisclosed fee and will be subjected to successful work permit application. Details of Pantilimon’s transfer have not yet been released. He will now follow Stefan Savic, Sergio Aguero and Gael Clichy to City of Manchester Stadium.
During the last season of UEFA Europa League play-off round, Pantilimon impressed during the match between City and Timisoara. He will be cover to first-choice keeper Joe Hart. Romania capped him 13 times. In the group stage, City will commence their maiden UEFA Champions.
